Poem: In A White-Walled Room

Written in June, but finally re-edited now. Opinions still very much welcome. I still miss my degree a lot 😦

In A White-Walled Room

Close the door.
Fill the warm space between these four walls
With melody
To bounce between the plasterboard, richochet until
all other sound
disappears underneath.

Without delay, in our swift hands,
Let plain fabric hit plain white walls

And we will lay .               . bold. Without it.

The world may continue outside our white walls
Forever and anon. Forever(yone) anon.
But in this white chamber
Won’t be able to hear a thing

Or feel anything else but the crackle of our skin.
